VZW Grondlegger is formed by a group of motivated,
creative entrepreneurs, builders, farmers and artists.
We like to offer solutions for our contemporary
consumer society.
We manage a domain in Melle of approximately 5 hectares with a greenhouse of 5000 m², an orangery of 2000 m², a garden of 3000 m² at the back with a pond and 40 000 m² of agricultural land.
The purpose of this location is to create a socio-eductional domain with place for agriculture,
a co-working space with studios and offices, all kinds of workshops and events, an orchard, folk cuisine, exhibiting alternative forms of living, and much more. These activities include all kinds of relaxation and learning opportunities for young and old.
Everything is aimed at raising awareness and offering an alternative for our contemporary consumer society.
We strive for 'local self-sufficiency' in the broadest sense of the word.

TRAIN
From station Ghent Sint-Pieters you can take daily trains to station Melle, from there it is a 20 minutes walk to our location.
BUS
Bus 44 will take you from Ghent South to the busstop Gontrode Heirweg in Melle. From there you can walk to our location in less than 10 minutes.
BIKE
Enjoy a pleasant bike ride along the river the Scheldt.
